Van Benthem en van Keulen wordt VBK
VBK is de nieuwe naam van het advocaten- en notarissenkantoor Van Benthem & Keulen. Met de keuze voor deze nieuwe naam en merkpositionering “Vertrouwd Vooruit” markeert het kantoor een volgende stap in de ontwikkeling van haar juridische dienstverlening.
Met de vernieuwde strategie kiest VBK voor een aanpak waarbij scherp juridisch inzicht en diepgaand begrip van de belangen en doelstellingen van de cliënt onlosmakelijk met elkaar zijn verbonden.

A&O Shearman benoemt Guido Straub per 1 mei 2026 tot counsel binnen de Litigation & Investigations-praktijk in Nederland. Guido is gespecialiseerd in internationale arbitrage en commercial litigation. Hij staat cliënten bij in complexe, veelal grensoverschrijdende geschillen bij diverse arbitrage-instituten (inclusief ICC en NAI) en nationale rechters. Hilde van der Baan, partner en hoofd van het Arbitrage-team van A&O Shearman Netherlands: “We zijn zeer verheugd met de benoeming van Guido tot counsel. Global law firm Clifford Chance announces the appointment of new Senior Counsel and new Counsel across its European offices, effective 1 May 2026. Among these, six lawyers from the Amsterdam office have been promoted: Nolan Groenland as Senior Counsel, and Sanne Blankestijn, Vincent Engel, Orsolya Gondos, Anne Hendrikx and Laura Stegeman as Counsel.

Nolan Groenland specialises in the taxation of corporate and financing transactions, with a particular focus on structured finance, M&A, tax controversy, employment taxes and international taxation. He has extensive experience across the full range of financial products, including lending, acquisition finance, real estate finance, asset finance, project finance, derivatives, insolvency and restructuring, and structured finance, particularly securitisation. Nolan also advises on debt and equity capital markets, incentives and executive remuneration, as well as dismissal-related tax issues.
Sanne Blankestijn has extensive experience in employment law. Sanne advises domestic and international companies across the full range of employment matters, with a particular focus on cross-border restructurings, boardroom-level strategic advice, national and transnational employee co-determination, individual and collective dismissals, and the employment and benefits aspects, including incentives, of complex international M&A transactions.
Vincent Engel has extensive experience in structured finance, with a particular focus on public and private securitisation, covered bonds, forward flow arrangements and bespoke asset‑backed financing. He works with a range of asset classes, including buy‑to‑let and residential mortgages, commercial real estate, auto and equipment leases, consumer loans, trade receivables and other esoteric asset classes. Vincent has gained in‑house experience through secondments at a major US financial institution in London and the largest bank in the Netherlands. He is recognised in legal directories as a Rising Star and Leading Associate.
Orsolya Gondos advises on a broad range of technology‑focused advisory matters and strategic transactions. She specialises in data protection, cybersecurity, emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and platform regulation, and complex technology contracts. She also advises on strategic separations, carve‑outs and integration issues, and complex commercial and outsourcing agreements.
Anne Hendrikx specialises in commercial litigation and arbitration, with a particular focus on complex contractual issues. She represents clients in complex disputes with a cross‑border element before the Dutch courts and also acts as counsel in arbitrations, including arbitration‑related court proceedings. Anne holds a PhD in contract interpretation and is an active contributor and speaker in the fields of arbitration and contract law.
Laura Stegeman is a deputy civil law notary. She advises corporate enterprises, corporate investors and financial institutions on reorganisations and complex governance matters, including joint ventures and cross‑border mergers, demergers and migrations. She also advises on mergers and acquisitions on the buy‑side and sell‑side, acquisition finance, real estate finance and asset finance.
