We have an attractive opportunity for an ambitious SENIOR LEGAL COUNSEL to join the team of seven legal and paralegal professionals in the Legal Department at the corporate headquarters of our client in Hoofddorp, the Netherlands.
The Legal Department is responsible for the legal support within TNT Express in matters relating to the corporate structure, legal compliance, worldwide corporate governance, commercial contracting, M&A and specific company projects. The aim of the Legal Department is to minimize risk while enabling the business to work as efficient as possible.
The candidate will be an expert in corporate law and able to advise the headquarter departments, multi disciplinary project teams and senior management (both in headquarters and the various business units throughout the world) on corporate legal matters and governance issues and should also be capable of dealing with (global) commercial contracts. He or she will be responsible for optimizing legal structures, contract management and providing support on M&A matters. The Legal Counsel will liaise with various stakeholders within the company (on a global scale), and with law firms and other external consultants.
REQUESTED
- University degree (Master) in Dutch law
- 6-8 years of relevant experience gained (in part) at a reputable law firm
- Sound knowledge of corporate law and corporate governance principles
- Ability to communicate clearly at all levels
- Strong and positive personality; broad legal interest
